Earlier artwork for the Witcher shows that at least some female zombies were considered as monsters. From the look of the concept art, it is possible the concept evolved into the devourers found there now.

In the Arena mode, Geralt can face a Zombie Swordsman and a Zombie Arbalist.

- While zombi are mentioned in Season of Storms, it is unclear whether they are the common pop-culture zombie brought to life via necromancy, or rather their folk ancestors, Haitian zombi or zonbi created by bokors, which are rather not dead, but transformed into a mindless state via drugs. In the Polish edition of the novel, Sapkowski uses the Haitian spelling.
