Vesna Hood is a waitress at the inn in the Outskirts of Vizima. She seems reserved, but a compliment, some derring-do, and a bottle of wine reveal another side. An opportunity to get to know Vesna a bit better presents itself when Geralt is travelling near the Inn after dark. He saves her from a group of bandits apparently intent on raping her.

After this dramatic meeting, she asks Geralt to escort her home. If he does so successfully, he can schedule an after-dark rendezvous with her at the old mill.
