Tor Zirael, the Tower of the Swallow or Tor Zireael in Elder Speech, is a place about which few people except the Aen Elle are aware. It is a tower containing many magic portals through which one can travel to many different worlds. It is considered a legend by all but a handful of people; those who have actually seen it. These people include Ciri, Vysogota, Vilgefortz, Geoffrey Monck and Buyvid Backhuysen. It lies on the north shore of Tarn Mira, a trefoil-shaped lake, one of the many in the Centloch region.

Ciri enters the elven world ruled by Auberon Muircetach, king of the Aen Elle through a portal located there.
