Armor serves as protective covering to mitigate damage in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Armor comes in four sections; Chest Armor, Trousers, Gauntlets, and Boots.
Armor can be separated into three categories; Light Armor, Medium Armor, and Heavy Armor
There are sets of Unique Witcher Armor that can be collected by stumbling across hidden Witcher Cache's or by completing Scavenger Hunts

Armor Crafting

Armor can be crafted using materials gathered through exploring the world, dismantling other Armor, or purchasing components from Vendors.
Diagrams for the pieces of Armor are needed before Geralt can craft. These can be found by purchasing them from Vendors, or finding them throughout the world. Once a Diagram is acquired, Geralt must take these to a Blacksmith in order to build them.
