The Flame of Hatred is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It does not appear in the quest log.
In the streets of Novigrad east of Hierarch Square, a preacher of the Eternal Fire will be seen speaking ill of mages, alchemists, and especially witchers. As Geralt walks up to him, he will readily insult the witcher in the face. Geralt can either tell him of how many lives he's saved, threaten him to shut up, or leave. If Geralt tells him about how many lives he's saved from monsters, the crowd will lose interest from his inability to defend himself and the witcher will receive 10 .
Later while traveling around Novigrad, Geralt will be approached and surrounded by two guards with orders for interrogation accusing him of offending religious sentiment. Geralt is given two options: Hand over his weapons or refuse. The guards will then remind the witcher about the preacher he humiliated. He asked the guards to administer last rites sacraments on the witcher. A fight ensues with the two guards and if the witcher surrendered his weapons, he will have to fight in other means or use his fists against the guards' blunt weapons. After successfully taking out the guards, the quest will end as Geralt takes back his swords and receives 25 .
