Temple of Melitele
From Witcher Wiki
The Temple of Melitele in Ellander near the city is quite possibly the best known of the places set up in the goddess' name. A poplar alley leads from the gate to the dwellings near the sanctuary and the main temple block, built against a mountain wall; there are gardens and outbuildings, a greenhouse hewn into rock and roofed over with crystal.
Nenneke rules this place, honouring the policies of Duke Hereward when it suits her fancy, tending to the wounded and the sick, helping with childbirths and training new priestesses of Melitele.

[edit] Notes
- The framing story of The Last Wish-collection, The Voice of Reason, takes place mostly in the temple grounds.
[edit] In The Hexer movie and TV-series
The temple of Melitele featured in many episodes, beginning in the eight episode, "Rozdroże" (Crossroads) and most notably in "Świątynia Melitele" (The Temple of Melitele).
Unlike in the books, the temple was burned down and all the priestesses within slain.
