Talk:Trophy Quests
From Witcher Wiki
I remember checking in Act II with the cockatrice's head. It would go into and come out of storage. The trouble is, in storage, it takes up only one grid. So it's hard to spot admist all the stacks of ingredients and such. Given the size of it when on Geralt's trophy hook inventory slot, I'd have expected it to take up multiple storage grids like weapons do.
But at least that one trophy head can be stored at inns. The article says they can't be. Anyone checked the other trophies?
What happens if you kill two trophy monsters on the same pass? Do their remains stay there while you change zones to turn one in? Does the boss respawn? Do you lose the chance to turn in one of them? (eek!) I can see how in Acts III, IV, and V it would be easy to kill both trophy monsters on the same run. Licensed Luny 21:28, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- Trophy heads never disappear even on the ground, so no problem there. They are supposed to take up only 1 slot. When you look at the lootable remains, they only take 1 slot too.GhostNWN 21:31, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- Good point about the 1-slot when looting! And thanks for the info. I've been too afraid to try. :D Licensed Luny 22:38, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
What if I'm in act II but want to complete Act I trophy quests, is that possible? I've only now noticed that there were more monsters to slay but i forgot to do it, so is it possible to go back and kill them, isntead of starting the entire game?
- Sorry! Too late, you missed out, but it's not a tragedy ... just make sure you speak with everyone in the following Acts so you don't miss any more. Usually, it's the Royal huntsman, but in Act II, it's Vincent Meis. Game widow 09:05, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
