Silver Swords in The Witcher (computer game)

In The Witcher, silver swords are used primarily against monsters as they reportedly have little effect on humans and nonhumans. Unlike the steel swords in the game, these cannot be bought or sold.

[edit] Witcher's Silver Blade

Given to Geralt at the beginning of Act II to fight The Beast of the Sewers. A silver sword is one of the two main tools of the witcher. It is a delicate blade only used against creatures who are vulnerable to silver, such as the undead and most types of monsters. It is light enough to be wielded in only one hand, leaving the other hand free for another weapon or for the casting of Signs.

Stats No extra damage No extra stats. Looks like a Claymore.

Given to Geralt by the Lady of the Lake if you choose to follow her path to resolving the conflict between the humans and the Vodyanoi (given after killing Dagon).

Stats Damage + 60% Attack + 10% Chance of critical effect: Pain + 50% Chance of critical effect: Blinding + 50% Chance of critical effect: Incineration + 50% Chance of critical effect: Precise hit + 50% Looks like a normal silver sword.

Given to Geralt by the Royal huntsman for gathering all 10 monster trophies.

Stats Damage + 100% No extra stats Looks like a curved elven blade.
