Quartz Mountain, also known as Crystal Mountain or Mountain of the Burning Sands, is where the legendary dragon Ocvist reputedly lived. The beast was allegedly bested by Yarpen Zigrin and his band of six dwarves. It was said to have a hoard of treasure which was said to include jewels like sapphires of previously unknown colors and diamonds the size of cherries.
According to Dandelion, a ballad exists which tells the tale of the brave Yarpen defeating Ocvist. The bard, however, considers this ballad to be rather boring as it is not one of his own.
