Leon[1] Oppenhauser was a redanian professor at the University of Oxenfurt who created a perpetual motion device. Moments after he completed it, it was destroyed by a shockwave which resulted when the sorceresses from the Lodge destroyed Stygga castle.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Edit

Right before complex of Academy, there is a glorious statue of him with an inscription (written in modern alphabet of course).

For Professor Leon Oppenhauser
Lecturer of the University of Oxenfurt
Man of unbroken spirit
And of great intelect
Inventor of the perpetual motion
Device that permanently changed
The face of the world
