Not Only Eagles Dare is a treasure hunt quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It is located at a Hidden Treasure marker in a small island at the mouth of the bay of Spikeroog known as Ulula's Needle. There, the witcher finds a dead skelliger along with a chest and a wrecked boat. The skelliger held with him a Note, a Key with ring attached, and an apple while the chest held a Skull (presumably Aki's skull from Possession). The Note had only but a few words in the form of a riddle. It read "The crooked mast marks the spot - but not just any fool can find the treasure." With this, Geralt followed the direction where the crooked mast on the wrecked boat beside the dead body and chest was pointing and found the treasure sunk nearby southeast of the island. The witcher dispatched the sirens guarding it and soon took the treasure for himself.
Journal entry Edit
While in the Skellige Isles Geralt came across a riddle hinting at the location of a treasure. While he was not particularly fond of riddles, he was quite fond of treasure, so he decided to investigate.
The crooked mast marks the spot - but not just any fool can find the treasure.
You can say a great many things about Geralt, but one thing is certain: he's no fool. He found the treasure mentioned in the mysterious note quite easily.
