She reveals that her beau catches fish and stinks no matter how much he bathes, her mother crafts pots and her hands are terribly calloused as a result – and all of this leads to Mercia stating that at least she will spend 10 years on her backside, so she’s pretty “meh” about it because all work has something to be despised in her eyes.
