Major General Markus Braibant (d. 1268) was the commander of the 4th Cavalry Army, Nilfgaardian mounted troops which consisted of:

- Magne Division
- Frundsberg Division
- 2nd Vicovaro Brigade
- 7th Daerlan Brigade
- Morteisen Battle Group
- Sievers Battle Group
- Vreemde Battle Group
- Nauzicaa Brigade
- Vrihedd Brigade
He reported to Field Marshal Menno Coehoorn. He was responsible for sending Ola Harsheim and Dacre Silifant to suppress the uprising in Nazair. He fought and died in the Battle of Brenna. Later, an academy which bears his name will be found in the capital. He was described as a old man with a grey beard.
