Kaer Gelen is a ruined fortress found in the northern mountains of Ard Skellig, in Clan an Craite territory. It is now home to a few wraiths, and at the top level, a katakan who guards two chests with random relic gear.
Map description[]
- This old fort's ruins attract the sort whom one would not want to run into in a dark alley.
Associated quest[]
Bugs[]
- After pulling the lever to open the main entrance, the portcullis can be seen slowly clipping through the stone arch above instead of sliding into a proper slit, a minor missing detail.
- It is possible to enter through the closed gate by galloping into it on a horse, then dismounting just as Geralt collides with it.
Notes[]
- Two cut content books, Fridebjorg the Bloody and Highwayman's letter, were supposed to be found at this location, and are related to an encounter with a "Blood Countess" character, who is likely the katakan at the top - evidently a female who once assumed a human form and called herself "Fridebjorg".
- One of the chests in the katakan's room was at some point meant to include Diagram: Bounty hunter's gambeson, Formula: Vitriol and Assassin's gauntlets, and the other Assassin's trousers. It's unclear if that's been changed on purpose or not, but they give random loot instead.
