This article is about the creature. For the quest in The Witcher: Monster Slayer, see Will O'The Wisp (quest). |
Will o' the wisp, also called wisp or will-o-wisp, are one of the many strange monsters found in the Dank Wilderness. Little is known about them except that they appear as points of light, dancing at night in swamps and boggy areas. Geralt met some in the Dank Wilderness.
Notes[]
- Some appear in the Blood and Wine expansion as part of the Land of a Thousand Fables. While Syanna tells Geralt to be careful and not to trust them, fortunately the two in the fairytale land are benevolent and lead to loot.
- One appears in Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales which will lead Queen Meve to the caravan of a dead princess in the swamps of Ysgritt.
- Will o' the wisps were intended to appear as a monster in the initial The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but have been cut or never fully developed. A monster definition with a drop loot table still exists in the game files, and the book Of Water and Fog would've provided a bestiary entry for them.
