The Ismena is a river in Temeria. It rises in the northern foothills of Mahakam.
Some larger towns near the river include Ellander and Carreras. The city of Vizima is at the mouth of the Ismena, where it empties into Lake Vizima.
The river flows through the region of White Orchard, where it has a small tributary. In this region, the river's water had turned noxious during the Third Northern War given the large amount of human blood and remains dumped into it following a battle.[1]
