Hrafnir was a Kaedwenian skald from Ard Carraigh who traveled with Margrave Mansfeld, the advisor to King Henselt.[1]
Biography[]
In late July 1267, after the fall of Aedirn in the Second Northern War, Hrafnir and his fellow skalds travelled with the margrave to the Dun Banner camp on the Kaedwen-Aedirn border, where they performed for the soldiers, singing about the victorious military operation, about the prowess of the king, the prudence of the commanders and the bravery of the humble foot soldier.[1]
