White Orchard cemetery is north of the Mill in White Orchard. There is a Place of Power and Melitele statues are located in the nearby chapel.

History[]

In the 1260s, the Verrieres family crypt was infested by wraiths; Lord Ignatius demanded witcher Kolgrim of the School of the Viper, face a trial by ordeal for the alleged kidnapping of a local beekeeper's son. This trial involved clearing the crypt, however he was beheaded by the villagers and left to rot there.[1]

Sometime after, Ignatius discovered his son Florian's homosexual relationship with the hunter Mislav, and so Florian hung himself, later being buried at the crypt, with a gravestone stating that he died of "apoplexie", masking the true nature of his death. Finally after his father's subsequent execution, and the Nilfgaardian occupation of White Orchard, the crypt fell into disrepair.

If Geralt chose to investigate: In 1272, after visiting the graveyard, Geralt of Rivia found Kolgrim's remains and slew the wraiths.

Notes[]

  • During the empress ending of the Something Ends, Something Begins quest, a world border protects this area from being accessed. However, if mods without collision are used to clip through this border, a red deleted-object placeholder box can be found in the cemetery basement, and the place of power will be missing.
