Eyck of Denesle is a pious and virtuous, flawless and spotless knight (except for being highly prejudiced against witchers, sorcerers and non-humans and fanatical in his faith), who has killed manticores and griffins in the past, as well as dragons. Unlike witchers, he doesn't accept money for his slayings.

'Damn...' the Witcher whistled softly. 'The pious and and virtuous Eyck, a knight without flaw or blemish, in person.'

'Do you know him, Geralt?' Borch asked. 'Is he really the scourge of dragons?'

'Not just dragons. Eyck is a match for any monster. He's even killed manticores and gryphons. He's dispatched a few dragons, so I've heard. He's good. But he spoils my business, the swine, because he doesn't take any money for it.'

In the Movie and TV series Edit

Eyck went to Hołopole after a summons went out for a dragon-slayer as did many other potential trophy hunters.

When an avalanche hit the band of would-be dragon-slayers, Eyck helped Dandelion save Geralt and Yennefer who nearly went over the edge and were very very close to falling to their deaths, not to mention arguing. Once he had saved saved them, though, he demanded that the king "clear the ranks of the filth", including Geralt and Yennefer.

He challenged Villentretenmerth like the good knight he was and the dragon knocked him off his horse with the most effortless flick of its tail.

He was played by Marek Walczewski in The Hexer TV series.

The Witcher (PC) Edit

According to Siegfried of Denesle, Eyck was his father, who died in a battle with a manticore "despite his infirmity" while Siegfried was away from home. From the engravings left behind by Eyck, Siegfried gleaned his extensive knowledge of the cockatrice.
