A 6-issue series of The Witcher (Polish: Wiedźmin) graphic novels (comics) based on Andrzej Sapkowski's witcher short stories was published in Poland in the years 1993-1995, written by Maciej Parowski and illustrated by Bogusław Polch. The comics were published by Prószyński i S-ka.
The issues were (in the order of publication):
- Droga bez powrotu (A Road with No Return, based on the short story Droga, z której się nie wraca)
- Geralt (based on the short story The Witcher)
- Mniejsze zło (based on the short story The Lesser Evil)
- Ostatnie życzenie (based on the short story The Last Wish)
- Granica możliwości (based on a short story of the same title)
- Zdrada (The Betrayal, not based on a short story, but on an outline by Andrzej Sapkowski)
In 2001, the graphic novels were collected in 2 hardcover volumes, in the order of internal chronology:
Volume 1:
- Droga bez powrotu
- Zdrada
- Geralt
Volume 2:
- Mniejsze zło
- Ostatnie życzenie
- Granica możliwości
A new series that will cover the events of novel series will be written by Maciej Parowski and published by CD Projekt, the developer of the computer game. The artist is unknown as of this moment, after Przemysław Truściński (who also created concept art for The Witcher computer game) left the project. CD Projekt will also re-issue the previous series illustrated by Polch. It is unknown whether the comics will be available in languages other than Polish.
