Catoblepas meat is a quest item in The Witcher.
Geralt must talk to Thaler and Velerad to figure out Princess Adda's favorite dish (to get her Romance Card) and the spy informs him her favorite dish is Catoblepas meat, but only after running a small errand for him.
Velerad then tells him that she prefers to eat Catoblepas meat rare. This will then allow Geralt to ask Triss to conjure a portion of catoblepas meat, rare, which he then presents to the princess.
