The Battle of White Orchard was a battle fought in White Orchard during the Third Northern War.
History[]
In Spring of 1272 troops from Nilfgaard commanded by captain Peter Saar Gwynleve clashed with Temerian forces on a battlefield near the village.
Although both sides suffered heavy losses, the battle ended with the victory of Nilfgaard. Captain Gwynleve decided to spare the inhabitants and avoided looting the village; he then established his headquarters in the local garrison.

- Elsa states that after the battle the local lord, Ignatius Verrieres, was captured and hanged by the invaders. However, this contradicts information from around White Orchard, such as other villagers claiming someone else was lord at the time.
