Axel Miguel Esparza, known as Pockmarked Axel (Polish: Axel Raby), was a mage and part of a team of eighteen masters of magic who worked under Grandmaster Ortolan at Rissberg castle, engaged in carrying out all kinds of dangerous experiments.
He was one of the fourteen mages who fell during the Battle of Sodden Hill in 1263.
Legacy[]
In 1266, his fellow mage from the battle, Triss Merigold, saw his corpse in a vision of the battle, caused by her entering a trance while attempting to telepathically communicate with Ciri.[1]
