Aedd Gynvael is a city in north Kaedwen. It's name is Old Speech for shard of ice.
Geralt slew a zeugl during his and Yennefer's stay in the city.
It's where the short story "Okruch lodu" takes place in.

It's where the fifth episode of tv-series, "Okruch lodu", based on the aforementioned story, takes place in. Aedd Gynvael is the place where the renegade witcher, Dermot Marranga, lived.
After his death, Geralt never stepped into the city again.

While the city does not appear in the game itself, it is incorrectly placed in Kaedwen instead of Narok on the map issued with the game.
