Abbé Faria is a minor character in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and the only person to have ever escaped from Deireadh prison in Oxenfurt. Geralt of Rivia and Yennefer of Vengerberg interrogate him about how he managed this feat while trying to find a way to free Margarita Laux-Antille from the prison.

- Abbé Faria, Goan Catholic monk known for his scientific study of hypnotism, was for some period of his life imprisoned in Château d'If. His fictionalized version appeared in the novel The Count of Monte Cristo.
