Abandoned Sawmill is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Walkthrough[]

The first time you visit the Abandoned Sawmill location on Ard Skellig, this quest will start, with Geralt making a comment on it being abandoned.

All you really need to do is examine the human bones (around the open shed area, third building from the right) but if you want to find all the clues first, go into the far left building and, using Aard to blast the door open, loot the chest here for Letter from a druid. Then go into the far right hut for Lumberjack's letter to his wife, and the hut next it (the building between the lumberjack's letter and the bones) for Sawmill owner's notes.

Once you view the bones, the leshen will spawn, either near the far left or far right. Kill it off to finish the quest, gaining 20 Oren3 and 50 XP earned based on the Story and Swords! difficulty level.

Journal entry[]

In a certain forest Geralt found himself looking at a clearly abandoned sawmill enveloped in thick undergrowth. He decided to investigate.
Curiosity once again dragged the witcher into trouble. Entering the sawmill provoked the leshen who had killed the woodcutters who had once worked here. Geralt had no choice but to fight the monster.

Objectives[]

  • Search the abandoned sawmill using your Witcher Senses. 0/4
  • Kill the leshen.
