A Barnful of Trouble is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
On visiting Carsten, Geralt hears a group of peasants arguing in front of a barn towards the northern end of the village. After Geralt enquires, the peasants tell him that they have barricaded the barn to prevent some beasts from escaping.
If Geralt agrees to help, he is locked inside the barn where he encounters a group of four ghouls. After dispatching the ghouls, the peasants open the barn and give Geralt 20 as a reward.
Geralt can tell the peasants that the ghouls were feasting on some flesh, and the peasants will reveal that they killed some bandits recently. You have the option to tell them that that was what attracted the ghouls, or you can remain silent. Either way, you will receive your reward and finish the quest.
Journal entry Edit
- Near Novigrad Geralt came across a village whose inhabitants had themselves a bit of a ghoul problem. These nasty necrophages had taken up residence in their barn and posed a threat to the living. Geralt agreed to help the peasants - for commensurate pay, of course.
- Getting rid of the ghouls did not prove much of a problem for the witcher. A few chops and slices and he was ready to collect his reward.
- Kill the ghouls.
- Collect your reward.
